i've been bad at keeping updates on here because i've mostly been editing a lot of behind-the-curtain stuff. 
on a public level: i now have a guestbook up!
i also figured out how to transfer files from markdown to html (bless panwriter) so i will probably do a reform of the blog with my own code.

my new blog 'brainjars' now exists! currently using a semi-automated blog setup but i might just move to a manual one,
because im having trouble with some features not working. we'll see what feels easiest.
